- DevRen is a DEVice RENamer, you can rename every device like df1:,
- ram:, rad: or newcon: for example. The only restriction is, the
- old and the new name must have the same lenght.
-
- Why I did it.
- I`ve got an AMIGA 2000 with one internal and an external Drive. The
- external Drive is always recognized as df2:. Some good Programs no-
- tice that I haven`t a df1: Drive. But the most Programs doesen`t pre-
- ceive that. This Program solve this problem, it renames the Device df2:
- as df1: and all Programs using the DOS know now a Drive called df1.
-
- KNOWN BUGS
-
- None
-
- SOME DO NOT
-
- This Program is unable to rename the NIL: because it isn`t in the
- DeviceNode structure marked as Device.
-
- USAGE
-
- For WB users: went into the CLI and type "DevRen <old> <new>" or
- "DevRen -l" to list the actual Devicenames.
-
- For CLI users: do the same like WB users, but remember you are
- in the CLI.
